Job Summary

3sHealth has an opportunity for a Certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) who is interested in joining our Payroll Services team as our Payroll Supervisor.

The Payroll Supervisor is responsible for managing all payroll services functions, including:

  • Playing a lead role in the review and audit of payroll processing;
  • Supervising a team of four amazing Payroll Officers;
  • Making recommendations for policy, procedures and administration of the payroll processes; and
  • Overseeing the maintenance of payroll services policies and procedures.

Our ideal candidate will have PCP certification, post-secondary education, and supervisory or coaching/mentoring experience, as well as demonstrate excellent communication and problem solving skills.

This is a one-year, temporary opportunity with the possibility of extension.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma in business administration or a related field
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certification from the CPA or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities  

  • In-depth understanding of legislation and regulations governing payroll in Saskatchewan.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to manage time and set personal goals and priorities to achieve department results.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively as part of a cross functional team.
  • Must be a competent writer and ability to communicate with peers and customers sufficiently to meet work objectives.
  • Able to manage conflict in real time and focus on solutions as opposed to laying blame.
  • Ability to identify root cause and develop/recommend solutions.
  • Ability to be flexible and willing to adapt to change in workload and priorities.

Experience

  • Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible payroll administration experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience supervising, coaching and/or mentoring team members to achieve common goals.
