Effective January 1, 2019, the Board of Trustees approved a psychology and social work enhancement to the Extended Health Care and Enhanced Dental Plan. This enhancement applies to all plan members and their eligible dependents.

Psychology/social work have increased from a combined maximum of $400 per insured person per calendar year to a combined maximum of $1,000 per insured person per calendar year.

The move better supports the mental health needs of all plan members and their eligible dependents, which is a very real and important concern.

“As a society, we are gradually starting to invest more and more resources in mental health,” said Lorne Shiplack, Manager of Employee Benefits at 3sHealth. “And making these investments is so important to our overall health and well-being.”

By more than doubling the maximum insured amount, the plan will allow members and their eligible dependents to avail themselves of more therapy sessions with licensed psychologists and social workers.

3sHealth is pleased to offer this plan enhancements to the caregivers of Saskatchewan in order to better support the mental health of front-line caregivers.
