In September, staff were invited to participate in an online survey to gather their thoughts on Gateway Online and scheduling services. The following is a summary of the survey results:
Here is what has been going on in the other two streams of the project:
Over the past month, the Finance team has focussed on conducting discovery workshops for general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, fixed assets, projects, budgeting and reporting. The work has centred on collecting information to understand current processes. This has involved gathering data from leaders and team members from the SHA, 3sHealth, eHealth, Saskatchewan Cancer Agency and affiliate organizations. Efforts to date have been directed at understanding the present state in order to inform the development of standardized provincial processes based on best practice. In November, design workshops will further engage these same organizations for feedback on the work done to date, and to gather further information as required.
Discovery and design workshops have been underway since the outset of the project, focusing on determining current practices in purchasing, contracting, inventory management and distribution across the provincial health-care system. This has involved working closely with leadership for the SHA supply chain, as well as partners in eHealth, Saskatchewan Cancer Agency and affiliate organizations. The goal is to assess all current practices in order to design a leading practice to institute for supply chain. This requires ensuing that all voices are heard and processes are included for assessment.
