Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Policy Analyst, Employee Benefits to support the development, maintenance, and communication of policies that guide the administration of Employee Benefit Plans.

Reporting to the Manager, Governance and Policy, you’ll play a key part in ensuring policies are clear, compliant, and accessible, helping employees and strategic partners understand and navigate benefit plans effectively. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to operational excellence while working within a complex, evolving policy and governance environment.

What You’ll Do

Policy development and maintenance

  • Research, draft, review, and update policies related to Employee Benefit Plans
  • Maintain a centralized, well-organized policy repository with version control
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and ensure policy alignment
  • Drive continuous improvement in policy development processes

Communication and stakeholder engagement

  • Communicate policies clearly to employees and strategic partners
  • Provide training and guidance on policy interpretation and application
  • Prepare briefing notes, reports, and presentations to support decision making
  • Present information to plan members, committees, employers, and union partners

Operational excellence

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support system testing and enhancements related to policy implementation
  • Track and manage priorities using service level metrics
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of organizational information
  • Contribute to a safe and respectful work environment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Skills and competencies

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related tools
  • Ability to interpret complex policies and legislation
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally


Experience

  • Minimum three years of experience drafting and managing organizational policies
  • Experience in underwriting, claims analysis, or benefits administration is an asset
