Employee Benefit Plan members who are looking to make appointments as streamlined as possible or may have trouble paying up-front costs for services can take advantage of a feature offered by Canada Life.

Canada Life makes it easy for members to find a paramedical or professional service provider who will bill Canada Life directly. “Find a provider” is a feature on the My Canada Life at Work app and website. It lists licensed, registered service providers that directly bill Canada Life for your claim. This means you do not have to pay for the service or product up front, submit a claim, and wait to be reimbursed later. 

To take advantage of this feature, simply log into My Canada Life at Work, click on ”Resources” on the side menu, and select ”Find a provider.” On your phone, log into the My Canada Life at Work app and select “Find a provider” from the menu.

You can then choose from a list of over 15 different categories of paramedical and professional service providers, from acupuncturists to massage therapists, that offer direct billing to Canada Life. You can enter a location or use your location to find providers in your area, with an option to specify a maximum range of distance. After you select “search,” available providers are listed, along with their addresses, phone numbers, and distances from your location.
